Stutt's: Finding the Sweet Spot in Low-Alcohol Craft Beer
Stutt’s brews beers between 2 and 3 percent alcohol while keeping the flavor full. The Dutch brewery sent over a few bottles, and they land in a market actively asking for lower-alcohol options without flavor compromise.
Philosophy
The founder draws on Australian beer gardens and African aperitif moments. The core is simple: maximum flavor, minimum alcohol. Not alcohol-free beer that tastes like dissolved malt extract, but beer that genuinely sits in the lower segment.

Crisp Lager, 2.5% ABV
The flagship at €2.75. Bright gold in the glass, white head that holds. The nose shows clean malt with subtle hops. On the palate well-balanced malt and measured hop bitterness, and surprisingly full-bodied for 2.5%. Good with light seafood, salads, or as an aperitif.
Blonde Ale, 2.2% ABV
Also €2.75. Pale gold, crystal clear. Light malt on the nose with a hoppy edge. Clean on the palate, delicate malt, balanced hops. Versatile with casual food, particularly grilled chicken or fresh cheese.
What’s coming
An IPA is in the works. Hop-forward styles at low ABV is technically tricky. Curious how they pull it off.
Conclusion
Stutt’s fills a gap between alcohol-free and regular craft. Beer with flavor at an ABV that lets you have a few without losing the evening. Thanks for the bottles.
