Views on a reel with winemaker Evmorfia Kostaki. Talking head, English quote on screen, Dutch caption.
The face carried it, not the edit.
People who start reading here finish the piece. That is what I have to offer, not a follower count.
I write for Dutch-speaking wine drinkers who want more than the label tells them. Not the shopper hunting for something to go with dinner, and not the sommelier who already knows. In between sits a group that wants to understand why a bottle costs what it costs, and wants a verdict nobody paid for.
This page is here for agencies, importers, producers and restaurants weighing up an approach. Numbers, audience, method, and how I disclose a collaboration.
Sparks is the podcast. Conversations with winemakers, importers and sommeliers, recorded in cellars and at the table. The guest list says more about my reach than a follower count does.
Alongside them, growers from Somló, Crete, Georgia and Zeeland. A handful of importers. And a former chef at Moon who now makes sparkling tea. Full guest list
The site is the archive. Everything that runs on social points back to it, while the podcast takes the same subject from a different angle. One piece of work rarely lands in one place.
Articles run in Dutch and English. Both are written. Neither is translated.
For a press sample or a campaign, composition matters more than size. This is the podcast listener demographic, the sharpest cross-section I have.

Comments on the carousel "Champagne has 9 grapes. Not 3." Every comment opened a conversation in the DMs through a keyword.
A contrarian claim earns more than a question does.
What did not work: covers with no face in shot, English opening lines on Dutch posts, yes-no questions as a hook. That sits here because you deserve to know I measure, including when the result disappoints.
Every article carries the type of relationship in plain sight. A favourable verdict isn't for sale, not even on paid work.
| Label | What it means | Shown as |
|---|---|---|
| Press sample | Bottle sent, no payment. The verdict stays mine. | Label on the article |
| Paid | Payment plus product. Subject agreed, verdict not. | Red banner at the top |
| Own purchase | Bought it myself, no relationship with the producer. | Label on the article |
| Affiliate | Links earn commission, no editorial collaboration. | Label plus notice at the link |
| Independent | No relationship, no product, no payment. | Default |
